about WORKING TITLE

SUSANNE WEIHL } lead designer: Always curious, always interested. A working title.

Our cultural landscapes are ‘visual narratives’. Notebook and camera in hand, I document what is and what can be. And what I hear and see is often found in the foundation and thread of my work. An iPhone image—flared and grainy—becomes part of the visual language for a Levi’s campaign. A palette for start-up, noted while wandering the beautifully damp streets of London. The letterbox format combined with the broad views of farm and sky—Marin Organic’s new brand is brought to life. And a graffitied wall in Brooklyn inspires layers of conversations in a handmade book.

Design is the arrangement of visual narratives, and yes, while arranging, I am a perfectionist. I work to make brands and individuals matter, relevant and unforgetable. And when I’m not at my desk, I like to find dusty gravel roads to follow, look for that perfect pair of cowboy boots, linger in cafés and travel—Nevada or NYC preferred.
